To format the memory card:

  1. Go to the Setup Menu (Setup 5, page 5 of 7)

  2. Scroll down and select Format.

  3. Choose Slot 1 or Slot 2, then press OK (center button of the rear control wheel, or press the AF Joystick)

  4. The camera will format the card.
